How's your state quarter collection coming along?

I just got a Texas quarter, nice.

I'm not going nuts about this, but it's kind of fun. I figured it would get harder when the quarters stopped being Northeast states, but not really.

How do you keep the quarters from popping out of their round holes in the little book? Some are fine, but some seem to pop loose every time I open the thing.

No tape! It will leave a mark on the coins if it's there for a period of time.

Tear a small piece from the end of a paper match and stick it between the side of the hole and the edge of the coin to make it fit more tightly. If it's too thick, peel a couple layers off of the match.

Thanks, I wondered about the tape. I'll try the match.

My grandmother has been building a coin collection basically since I've been born and every time a new quarter comes out, she buys a roll of each state. It's all in a safe deposit box at a bank. As far as I know, she stays current with it so I assume I've got all the states. Or rather, will, when she decides to give control of it to me like she said she's going to do.

Yeah, I figure that no matter what, I can get a good lunch out of it. I've got $7.25 so far, no illusions about it ever being valuable. Just fun.
