Your firewall hasn't failed because it can't transmit data about those files or those files over the internet. (right??)

It is just using your browser to view your documents localy. He is creating a link to file://localhost/c: .

Where is the security test? All I saw was a webpage that brings up a directory listing of my C: drive.
