Hows this TV? Is HDTV and wide screen really worth the huge price difference?

I'm looking for a tv around 30-32", and a good bang for the buck. I really like the way this tosiba looks, what are you comments on it?

RCA has a 40" HDTV rear projectioni wide screen for 200$ more. Which would be a better buy?

My thoughts? An exorbitant amount of money (yes I know it's in Canadian dollars) for the relatively little amount of screen you get.

I was actually looking to get that TV before I bought a refurbished 30 Phillips HDTV for $600.
That TV is one of a few CRT that has a DVI input. Nothing but good reviews I've searched so far.
