hows this for a friend's budget setup:

the AXPs will only bring price decreases to those high end proccy's, like the Barton 3200+. looks like a nice cheapo setup, except DO NOT get the 5200 unless you do not plan on playing any games at all. It has piss-poor performance, many laptops' video cards dominate it. Get an ATI card, they are better bang for buck, maybe a 9600 if your friend can afford it or get an 8500, its the best super budget card.

good deal, drop the fx5200 if you are planning on doin any gaming at all. either way, you can pick up a refurb ti4200 for that much

Good deal on AMD processor and board. Yes, you'll need ram, hard drive, etc. I recommend refunding the video card along with refunding the burner (if you have an officemax nearby, they can get you 52x burners for $10 to $0 every once in a while). For $80 or so, maybe you can find the better GF4 Ti4200 64MB or even 128MB card :) Otherwise, dropping down to a Radeon 9100 will save lots of money.
