How's this for storage capacity?

Greetings,

I read this in a recent issue of Popular Science magazine and it impressed me to the point that I thought I'd share it:

There is a young woman working (I believe at the Univ. of California) with molecular lattices and structures. Apparently she has discovered a way to line up molecules that is believed will lead to hard disks that can hold 175 DVD's worth of data on a disk the size of a quarter!

Am I too easily impressed?
 
I read an article years and years ago that said in the future CPUs wouldn't operate by binary anymore, and would reach speeds in excess of 50ghz.... all by 2008 i might add
 
I don't really consider people in their mid-30's to be "young geniuses" like the article implies.

That's basically middle-aged.
 
Doing it in the lab is one thing, mass-producing a fully-functional product is another thing.
