I like the motherboard but I've heard that many people have had technical problems with it. Would it be better to go withthe Asus av8 deluxe instead? And will the RAM be good enough to overclock the CPU to 3400 or 3500 speeds?

I got the Asus A8V instead and I am really liking it. Which one costs more? Which ever one costs less go for it cause they are both good

I might switch over to the AV8 because it is cheaper, but I've been told that the MSI has better overclocking features. I'm a first time overclocker so I'm afraid that it'll be easier to fry my stuff on the Asus....

I have a similar combo and it should be great. I like the MSi even though it is $10.00 more expensive. Not much functional difference except maybe open slots. Bot MOBOs are fine and will be great either way you choose. I have not had any experience with the Customer Service of Asus but I can speak upon the CS for MSI and it was great, quick and thorough. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable and helped me narrow down possible problems. Although my problem was not a MSI Mobo problem, but an installation problem, the CS rep was very accomodating.
