How's this 120mm Fan?

It's lying through it's teeth. Over 45/50CFM or so the noise from the airflow itself will be higher than that.

Having said that they seem to be rather good quality fans, if you're looking for quiet @ 12V this isn't it, but undervolted it should be pretty good.

You know, when those fans first came out they were $15, now the Egg has them for $6.
That indicates something. Not sure what but I do know fans of real quality hold their retail
price longer than three months 😉 Good fans=Nidec, Delta, Japansflo, Akasa, NMB, ADDA
HyPro bearing, Sanyo Denki, to name a few.

They are still asking $15 for the S-Flex model. The OPs link is to sleeve bearing model

yeah these are not the same fans as the S-Flex with the sony bearings, it appears that Scythe has made their own sleeve bearing fans and thats probably why they are cheap. For 6 bucks they could be a steal if they actually perform close to spec

OK...They rate the S-Flex at 150,000 hours. The linked fan is rated at 20,000 hours.

There are 8760 hours in a year. So how do they know the S-Flex will last 17.12 years 😀

OP, no one gets hurt buying a 120x25 for $6 because at the worst, it's a cheap lesson.
At best a killer deal. The linked fan probably falls between the two.

well, since I'm not going to have this computer on all the time, the 20k hour rating should be good for 3-4 years at least, right?

Wondering if it is going to be worth it spending ~$40 for 2 of those Scythe SFF21F's? Definitely liking the stats, 63.7 CFM/28dBA. Any other recommendations? Looking for something that pushes ~60 CFM at around ~30 dBA.

~60 CFM at around ~30 dBA is tough to achieve.

A close match would be a Panaflo M1A at 7V. I have one as rear case vent, and it provides excellent combination of good ventilation and relatively quiet, but it's still mildly audible. It's silent at 5V, but I suspect air-flow is less than your target of 60CFM at 5V. Panaflo 'Specs' for the M1A are 86.5CFM at 35.5 dba at 12V.

When balancing 'cool' and 'quiet', one of those criteria usually is compromised.

Hope this helps!

I realize it won't be running at its advertised 28dBA, but after reading MadShrimps 17 fan review, it seems to be the most well rounded. I don't need anything whisper quiet, but I don't want my computer to sound like a lawn mower either. I just want to make sure there isn't a cheaper alternative to achieve pretty much comparable results.
