For general real world performance, unless you are moving files from SSD to SSD you won't really see much gain from Sata II to Sata III

I do plan to raid some SATA III Drives and would like the best write speeds

personally I haven't noticed a difference, but haven't played around a lot with sata 3. still running sata 2 and am content with it. the ssd made a huge difference but I don't forsee switching to sata 3 being an improvement

Raiding SSDs is pretty useless and for HDDs is doesn't matter at all whether you have SATA II or III.

Why is rading SSDs useless? because you also need a source or target that is as fast as raided ssds and for random read ans writes the performance does not really increase or can get worse than with a single drive.

Is this for a new build separate from your sig?

If not, I wouldn't go from a 8320 to it, myself.
