How's the noise from a Pan M1A (80 MM) compare to the Intel P4 HSF?

I'm looking to quiet the retail P4 HSF down a little bit. Despite Asus Q-Fan's speed reduction, that thing still sounds like a mini vacuum cleaner.

Would a Panaflow M1A (plus new heat sink) quiet the system down, or would I need to put an L1A on there to notice the difference?

Between the M1A and the retail P4 fan, I'd say the M1A would only be slightly quieter. You'd probably be looking at the L1A for a dramatic difference.
