The dot pitch aint the best in the world(0.27 I think). But how is this monitor? I can get it for $130 shipped used.

Any opinions? Its either this or a 17" of some kind.

I bought one of these a few days ago when my 4 year old 17" Samsung 700s died. I just got finished building a new system and didn't have a lot of money so I picked up one of these at Walmart because they have a 90 return policy. I figured I could use the KDS for three months while saving up to buy a better monitor then return it.

This monitor has surpassed my expectations for such a cheap unit. I was able to set the geometry so that everything is square and the color looks pretty good. Text is sharp enough by my standards. My only quibble is that with a completely white screen the right center portion of the screen is slightly warmer than the rest. It's only noticable with a white background and is minor.

BTW I run it at 1280 X 960 at 85Hz with a Geforce 2 MX, color temp at 6500K, calibrated using the Adobe gamma utility that comes with Photoshop Elements.

I had one for a few months and it was OK. The dot pitch wasn't too bad, but there was some glare and the curvature was like a fishbowl.

I had one for about 2 years, no gripes at all with the monitor. Sure its not a pure flat screen or anything but for the price I think it looked fantastic.
