how's the antec sonata as a cooling case?

it has a nice sleek black design, comes w/ a good 380W ps, and is "quiet". How is it for an overclocking system though? I also bought an zantac 7000 copper fan for the cpu. will there be enough airflow for OC'ing a 2400+ barton mobile? Is this ps able to crank out enough energy? should I get more fans? any recommendations?

Have a look at the Antec SLK3700BQE aswell btw, I think it might be more up overclocker alley.

The SLK3700BQE has better airflow than the Sonata because of where the front fan is mounted. In either case, you're going to want to add a front 120mm fan for overclocking. The SLK3700BQE comes with a 350w power supply. That and the Sonata's 380w are both fine for most users. Take a look at my profile to see all the stuff that's running off of the 380w TruePower in my Sonata.

I'd also recommend the 3700BQE over the Sonata if you need good cooling airflow. Great airflow is not the Sonata's forte, the 3700BQE has much better ventilation.

what does the sonata have over the 3700BQE then? is it because its ultra quiet? are there any good antec aluminum cases that have airflow that match the 3700BQE? or is the 3700BQE the best there is to offer in terms of overclocking? thanks guys.

Sonata has front firewire and a slightly quieter PSU. That's it.

Both the P160 and Super Lanboy have slightly better airflow than the 3700 series, but they're also a little louder, because of their open front bezels and the inherent aluminum resonance of the case walls.
