Firstly it is not cheap and all the imbeded software is open scource (free). I do not think that they have a final version yet, even though Wallmart is selling a machine with it installed it appears to be still in Beta .
If you want to try a good Linux OS go to the SuSe homepage and have a look at that. You can purchase the whole thing on I think 5 CD's or if you have a good connection they will install it for you free over the internet. On a good High Speed connection it will take about 4 hours and could take up to 8 hours for the online install. It will be a easy transition from a windows box, it will give you a dual boot system, try it.
