i just bought a A64 3000+ and a Asus K8V deluxe from newegg.. and a volcano 12. Wise? I used to have an old asus a7n8x with 400 fsb... it was a great board and i figured asus would conintue to make good boards. I will be ordering a x800 pro as soon as it comes out for 400, i dont wanna pay a premium. THink this will be a good combo?

Also, why is ram so high right now?? i swear everytime gas goes up.. so does ram. =P

ram is high because of ddr2 introduction - if ddr is expensive - the mindset is if you can upgrade for a little more you would

I don't know if you waited quite long enough to expire your A7N8X setup yet, cause that's still good., but what you have will be great I am sure.

my friend just ordered an A7N8X/2500+ setup from me, so this type of stuff is still selling strong to this day. infact I haven't sold much more than an XP2600+ setup in recent months..

yea i love the a7n8x/2500 combo... runs great, but lightning fried everything i had in my pc so im upgrading... figured bying another a7n8x/2500 would be pointless. I'll be buying a x800 soon as well.. what would you suggest for ram?
