I have been shot in the arse with a pellet gun. It felt like someone smashing the end of a baseball bat into my left cheek. I couldn't imagine what it feels like getting shot with an actual slug with a larger mass and which travels at a much higher velocity. Anyways, I went to the hospital and they took an x-ray to see where it was, tried to get it out, and failed miserably. So I have a lead pellet in my left a$$ cheek.

and no it doesn't set off the metal detector in the airports

Major Trauma Hospital FTW!!!!

Example would be these buddies messing around with a 12 gauge shotgun, they were drunk and the one guy pointed it at the other and pulled the trigger when it was loaded with 00 buck shot. Hit him center mass from about 10 feet away, somehow it missed his heart. But it took out parts of his liver, stomach, aorta, small and large intestines, both kidneys etc. The first(of many) surgery took 10 hours and required 53 units of blood or fresh frozen plasma but he lived.

True story.

Holy sh!t. 00 Buck from 10 feet?!? In the torso? Wow.

2 questions

1) What does it feel like to get shot?

2)How does a shot kill you? I know it puts a hole in you but how actually does it kill you? Does the bullet explode in your body?

Wow, they're making n00bs dumber these days...

I'm sorry, but I would prefer to remain a n00b on this subject. Personally, I don't feel like getting shot as a "learning experience" to transcend my "n00bness."

(And sorry kiddies, movies and videogames don't count.)

Noob, don't worry about it. Mostly just bad press by the anti-gun movement. Things like THIS generally "buff right out"... use caution opening that pic...not for everyone.
