I've like the show all along. It does get a bit draggy from time to time but not to the point where I quit watching.

Mandy Patinkin is the show's savior. It's worth watching for him alone. Damian Lewis was also great, and did the best he could with a somewhat unevenly written character.

Claire Danes, though, plays the central character. Which sucks, because I can hardly stand her. Or maybe I can't stand her character. I don't think I've seen her in anything else, so can't really say, only that she grates on me.

Any time the Brody daughter is on screen is cringeworthy. Horrible actress.

I lost interest once Brody was killed It went south even before he died, but after that it became nearly unwatchable. IMO.

How's this show? I like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, House of Cards, etc.

Is the show good? Is it too unrealistic or campy or peters out in later seasons?

As others have noted, the first two seasons were the best, and then the writing went pretty much in the tank. BUT, just for shits and giggles, I tuned into the new season and three episodes in, I am really impressed how they have gotten this show back on track. Ep.3 was one of the best I've seen, truly. And, I think Clare Danes is just a fantastic actress (judge this for yourself). In a scene in one of my favorite films, an actors says "Acting is just reacting." An oversimplification, but watch her react to others in her scenes. Just excellent. Give it a try.
