How's about a FSAA Geforce3 vs. Voodoo5 Comparison?

I'm anxious to hear what people with both cards are seeing (Does the G3 equal/better the V5 with FSAA?)
I'm also very anxious to hear how the numbers compare with FSAA on (all levels would be great!).

I'm sure the GF3 will blow the V5 away in FSAA speed...doubt the quality though.

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm hoping to be able to get FSAA quality near the V5, but at much better frame-rates. From the looks of quite a few screenshots, the G3's FSAA isn't equal to the V5. I think most of the excitement about the G3's FSAA is mainly from current nVidia users of the G2 line, who didn't have very good FSAA to begin with. So the G3 FSAA improvement to these users is much larger.

I can tell you with a couple of tweaks on the LOD and implementing anisotropic filtering along with FSAA that the image quality is as good as or better than my 5500 now and is very playable at 1024x768x32. In fact I no longer have a reason to keep the 5500s around. This card just made the last arguement for the 5500 null and void. Just read an excellent article here on the whole subject- Link . I'm sure Robo has numbers coming.

In my own experience with the GF3... the Visiontek card, the FSAA image quality is definitely inferior to that produced by the V5.

well I had a v5500 and i did like the AA but I find it hard to believe that it's better than the GF3.....I have one on order and i'm really going to be pissed if I spend that much money and the features are not up to yesterday's standards.
