Hows a tbird 800 compared to a celeron 566@1Gig?
I was looking for a new cpu and noticed the celeron's were cheaper but could overclock a lot better, how do they add up?

tbird has faster memory io so it will be faster.

of course its about twice as much cash for a tbird-800 rig proper cooling and a kt7, so you get what you pay for

hehe.. take it easy on the Celeron2 if u decide to get it, that sounds bit too harsh to up it that high. Like the others mentioned, go with the T-bird 800. it still will do better than the 1 Ghz C2.
