Howdy from NYC

I'm in NYC for my sister's wedding, tomorrow. My mom's kicking back at the hotel, another sister and her family are off meeting long lost relatives from my brother-in-law's family, and I'm blowing off a little time at this Kinko's, saying howdy to ATOT. 🙂

My sister (the one who's getting married) is a published food author (cook books, etc.), and she's marrying a guy who's also a commentator on food for CBS. The invitation to the wedding dinner said it was to be a "pot luck" dinner, but it won't be your typical pot luck get together. 25 of the finest chefs in NYC will each be bringing one dish for the party. This should be interesting just to see what happens. :wine: :gift:  :music:  and of course, lots of :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:

Best of luck at the wedding. Would be curious to hear the shortlist of chefs. Cardoz, Valenti, Meyer, Waltuck, Nish, Colicchio, etc?

I've never been overweight, but I have a feeling I'm going to want to do a few extra laps around the neighborhood for awile when I get back. 😉

The terror alert in NYC just went to Orange at the news of Harvey's arrival!😉
Actually, I was more afraid of the arrival of Ivan, the terrible hurricane dumping on us as we landed. They predicted possible flooding, here, but so far, all I've seen is a few brief periods of rain.

Got about 10 minutes left on the clock before I have to log off, but I'm glad I got to check in. 😎
