I applied and a few people on the inside convinced them I was the man for the job. Since then, they love my work.

Worked at McDonalds when I was 16.
Made friends with the owner's son.
Remain very good friends through my college years and such.
After 9/11, work was very slow at Disney so I finally joined Mickey Ds at his urging.
Been there for 1.5 yrs.

amdskip - i have friends at work that make 6 digits as fancy salesmen

of course, they are the best of the best...

Applied for 3 jobs on my college career center webpage. I was offered an interview for one of them and had a 15 minute phone interview. They hired me after that. I start on Monday. It's an internship but it's the quickest job I have ever gotten. Woot!

Buddy told be a company was looking for temps. Worked for 3 weeks, offered position. Took position. Got 20% raise 2 months later 😛

I applied. It was a "contract to hire position" (after 6 months they would offer you a permanant position if they liked you). I've been there for 5 years now.

I walked in, applied, and got the job. All in the same day too. As a matter of fact, in less than 5 yrs I'm already going to be promoted...to head assistant fries operator. They don't just let anyone work the fry grill, you gotta earn it. 🙂
