Howard Traded to Lakers in 4 team deal!

In the proposed four-team deal, sources told Broussard that Howard and Denver Nuggets forward Al Harrington would go to Los Angeles, Lakers forward Pau Gasol and Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo would go to the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers guard Andre Iguodala would go to Denver, and Lakers center Andrew Bynum would go to Philadelphia.

Awesome for the Sixers if this happens!

But why would the Magic accept only Gasol and Arron Afflalo as their return? Bynum is a better replacement for Howard than Gasol.

If thus goes through, Orlando is still stuck with bad contracts. Lakers and 76ers are the winners.

These new details make more sense:

A source with direct knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com's Marc Stein the Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will acquire Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will receive Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams.

In addition, the Magic will be getting other pieces, including 76ers No. 1 draft pick Moe Harkless, a source told Stein.

Wow, Iguodala, this year's first, and next year's first for one year of Bynam?

Plus Nikolai Vucevik. It only works if they sign him long-term. He did grow up near Philly in NJ.

I applaud them taking the chance. Without a good big man in the middle, they were destined for years of the nether world of fringe playoff making but never the lottery.

Let me put this another way. They better effing sign him!

our team after the trade goes thru is mike brown proof, even he can't screw up with this much talent, wish we could pay him off and bring phil back

Seriously, does anyone else feel the NBA is rigged? How in the world do the lakers keep ending up with star players...

They generate the most revenue for the NBA from the networks...

Basically a NBA Finals of Lakers Vs Miami or Lakers Vs Boston = $$$
