I do not quote celebrities. Their opinions do not hold more weight for me than any one elses. Also I do not try to give my opinions more value by cherry picking data or information.
It appears that you missed my point. Would you have posted a similar comment if he had made an anti-Dem statement from a celebrity? Me thinks...probably not.

I've never been a fan of Stern's but when Stern and people on the right are all getting scared of the the same gov a threshold has genuinely been crossed.

"I voted Republican and I voted Democrat - I have vowed I will never vote for a Democrat again - I don't give a f__k..no matter who they are..I am done with them...the fact these Democrats on the FCC are communists - their for communism!..this is gangsterism!..this is crazy"

The OP is a bigger dumbass than Howard can be. This is from 7/08, when the gov't was still reviewing the Sirius/XM merger. He had also railed against FCC chairman Powell (appt by Bush, and Colin Powell's son) for years and also claimed that they were forcing him to Sat, and later holding the merger up, bc he criticized Bush & Co all the time for his ignorance and stupidity and constantly fucking things up.

HOWARD VOTED FOR OBAMA in 2008. He was a Hillary fan, and was pissed she lost the primaries. He was on the fence w/ Mc Cain until he nominated Palin, and the rest of the fall was spent talking about what a complete f'ing retard she was, and how McCain was an irresponsible idiot for nominating her. Merger did get approved in 08 btw.

So nice Fail OP.
Don't believe everything you read on the intardwebs, or at least try to learn the context so you don't look so stupid.

Just googling "Obama Communist" and freaking out about every result you see as proof doesn't cut it.

I will make a point of posting a similar comment the next time I read a thread based on a positive statement made by a celebrity about the Democrats.

No it was made clear remarks are from a "best of" Show being replayed this week. I wouldn't know who Stern voted for one way or another but he was correct about the commie insight.

I doubt Howard would find the Republicans in the FCC any better.

I will never vote for any politician, of any party, who supports the FCC's "decency rules" and other forms of censorship. It's not the government's job to decide what's "vulgar" and what's "permissable".

I disagree (partly). Although the FCC somehow went from regulating frequencies to regulating content as well... for over the air television I think there should be some standards of decency. Howard Stern is broadcast over a service that I must pay for in order receive his broadcast. If I do not like what I hear, I can not pay. I can also prevent my children from hearing that stuff, by not allowing it in my home.

Directv and all the channels that one must pay for... can have whatever content they wish. Although I have directv, I can block specific channels based on content. So if they want to air girls gone wild commercials.. so be it.

The Democrats are the pro-censorship party, and the FCC was started by a liberal. Bush's admin only fined him because Bush was a liberal, no good RINO.

The FCC needs to be abolished. It has no rightful place in society. If people don't like what they hear on the radio or on TV, then they can turn it off. The majority have no right to force decency on the minority.

+1 for Howard Stern.

Agreed, I don't care what color they represent, I'd never vote for anyone who supports that non sense.

hmmmm. Howard Stern....yeah....I DO care what he says about politics....

not.

You're missing the point, when a celebrity starts making claims or pointing fingers a lot of their fans will follow suit. Just look at all the nutjobs who listen to the moronic hollywood elite.

How come the YouTube clip shows the date as July 24, 2008?

...and a sympathizer of Hugo Chavez who praised his zeizure of opposition media was appointed FCC "diversity czar" by Slim in 09. Oh and he wrote abook about how to gut talk radio using "diversity" as vehicle.

The flash from the past aside, I suppose citing FartMan's opinion is no more valid than citing Beck's - both come from entertainers and carry little weight.

Another day, another swing/miss at the Dems and Obama... *yawn*
