Howard Dean is a liberal I respect. He at least has the nerve to actually say what he feels. That's more than can be said of most people...
It's quite possible that he's great for the democrat party and not great for the countryOriginally posted by: slyedog
if dean is so great, why don't the demo's run him for president in 2008? i and probably most republicans
would donate to his campaign.

Dean is a moderate. You have no idea what liberal is.

The DNC could do much worse. His "yeahhh!" proves he's obviously passionate about what he believes.
Because Americans can be made to think Dean is insane just by showing a few feet of film with a particular interpretation we get a moron like Bush for President. I think you can write off America as deserving of what they get. A people so easily mentally controlled deserve their trip off the cliff.Originally posted by: Zebo

His "yea" was BS created by corporate media to derail him. Its inaudiable in the crowd which was screaming and edited to make him sound alone and manic.

He's sorta right.
Dean was very much in the middle across the board pre-election, and moved lunatic-fringe left to try to gain support for the presidential election. It was a political miscalculation.
As I recall, Dean is a strong advocate for states' rights and the right to bear arms.
If the dems really want to win, they will resist the urge to go more liberal. If the public perception is that the Republicans are leaving the middle for the right, it is time to run a Clinton-Moderate to fill the political vacuum.
This moderate candidate could easily reach out to the left. The left's support should be easier to get than the moderate voters. Many lefties are Yellow Dog Democrats who will vote blindly Democratic (except the Naderistas, who should be sterilized).
It makes no sense to move that far left of center.
your right, i didn't know weather to laugh at you or cry for you... so i took a long time to think about what would be appropriate... in the end, I decided that it was best just to explain why i felt like doing both.Originally posted by: Moonbeam

he says after instantly giving the matter all the thought he was capable of. There's many a slip twixt the quip and the trip.
LOL, again, the idea that bush would have lost to dean is just silly.Because Americans can be made to think Dean is insane just by showing a few feet of film with a particular interpretation we get a moron like Bush for President.
