Has anyone ever gone to Howard Days or the Barbarian festival in Cross Plains, Texas?

this is to celebrate Robert E. Howard, the creator of Conan the barbarian. REH lived in Cross Plains. i'm kind of thinking of going but I've never been to Texas so I don't know what to expect.

 
I live a couple hundred miles from there in DFW. It's a pretty small town that was ravaged by the recent wildfires in the panhandle, I doubt you will find anyone here actually in Cross Plains
