How you use banana plugs for speaker wires?

If I plan to use banana plugs, do I need to twist the speaker wire tight before sticking it into the banana plug?

I've actually just finished installing these same banana plugs tonight.

Each plug comprises of 2 pieces. You put the speaker wire into the inner plug and secure it by tightening the side screws. Then the outer piece goes over the inner plug, holding the wire and screws secure. Very nice. Easy to install.

Personally, I solder all my connections. I don't like twists, splices, etc.

Hmmm, mine were a lot cheaper than those... just stick the twisted wire in one end and crimp it down for me
