alrighty.. i learned today that a jigsaw will cut aluminum...

i also learned i have a jigsaw :Q
Use a piece of wood underneath. Use new blades. Use cutting guide for straight lines. Use clamps to hold piece down. Use eye protection. Use a vacuum to clean off particles.
Measure twice, cut once.

alrighty.. all the bending is done, as is every piece of cutting i can use a jigsaw on.

now i need to figure out if i want to cut a template, or just a big hole, for the connections in back....

I've cut aluminum a few times. A simple bandsaw is the easiest. Use a simple wood cutting blade and you'll be fine. Metal cutting blades are for anything with iron in it (which aluminum won't have if it is anywhere near pure).
