How you open the case of the Intellimouse Explorer mouse?

Without bracking the case.
I got a new mouse from MS and it's doing the same thing as the old one.
It works , but sometimes it locks for seconds or it locks and i have to disconnect the cable and it works again,
The worst part is that sometimes I have to reboot to get the mouse working again.
I read somewhere that there's a problem with the cable on the mouse and i want to check that on the old mouse.
