How would you wire 120mm case fan for use OUTSIDE the case?

I redesigned my case so now I don't need the Blue LED 120mm case fan. But I'm certainly not getting rid of it. I thought of use as desktop personal fan. How would I wire it up? Prolly need a switch too.

Like as a fan that cools YOU down? You could have the fan leads coming out of the case, and have it sit on your desktop.

you could add a molex connector to it
you could also add it to a rheostat(variable resistors) and adjust the speeds as needed

or you could just cut a wire real quick, strip them with your teath, then tie them together real quick with yur fingers :)

but i don't recommend the last option

i modded a case i built to have 13 adjustable speed fans mounted in the case, above, below you name it

Yes, me. But that way I could only use while the computer is on, I'd like to use it anytime....

or you can modify an extra at/atx psu to deliver the extra power without the need for another motherboard :)

You could get a pair of 6V lantern batteries and attach fan connectors to them. Dunno if you'd get much more than a couple hours life out of them, though.

Dunno if a 120mm case fan would make that good of a personal fan anyway. Most 120mm fans are designed to skirt the air movement, instead of a direct stream. So you'd have to have it angled at like 45 degrees and 4 feet in front of you to feel anything at all.
