How would you vote? (Poll)

An energy company is seeking zoning and permits to build a nuclear power station near your home. For the purposes of this question lets say the site is within 5 miles of your home. This plant will provide clean energy, jobs, and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. It will also be capable of hydrogen production as an alternative fuel for motor vehicles.

Would you support, oppose, or be indifferent to its construction?

Please explain if you vote opposed.

What does it really do for me? I dont need a job there, who cares about clean energy, dependance on fossil fuels? i already pay for electricity to heat my home. Alternative fuel for motor vehicles? Mine is supposed to use 87..

oppose, dont you watch 24?

I would support, but ONLY if it was a pebble bed reactor. I think we need to be developing/deploying pebble bed's as part of a NATIONAL effort at energy independence.

I'd support it. Nuclear energy technology has advanced quite far since we stopped building them in the 80s.

I wouldn't be wild about the idea of any sort of power plant being built that close to my home, nuclear or not.

as long as Edgar is still working at CTU I vote FOR.

As long as the reactor's computer systems aren't connected to the internet, I don't have a problem with it.
