Being +25 years old and living/supporting your parents?

I see this very often in lower classes/first generation-US immigrants where they dump their entire savings so their child can succeed. I mean many of you would consider someone a loser if they still lived with their parents, right? Or is it under certain circumstances?

There is nothing wrong with families with limited income to live together. Who cares what other people think anyway?

It depends. Do they have a job and if not, are they looking for one?

If the child is supporting the parents, that is a very honorable thing. If not, and the family wants them there, it is still acceptable to me. If the kid is a loser that won't look for a job and are mooching off mom and dad, then it's not cool.

What he said. Both of my parents sacrificed so much to provide us food, shelter and a chance for an education here. The least I can do is support them in return.
