how would you go abouts upgrading my rig..?

First of all, I am NOT a gamer at all. Hence you will see that in my video card...

Chaintech VNF4-ultra
AMD A643000+ (socket 939)
2 x 512mb corsair value ram pc3200
300gig hd(more than enough)
ati radeon x700

should i hold out for a new mobo and such? I feel the lack of RAM when i'm doing many things.

def invest in a dual core CPU, depending on how much yuo have a 4400+ would be nice
2 x 1gb of ram would give you a good amount of performance increase
or a raptor if you have the money

i'd wait till r600 comes out to upgrade your video to giev you some more options
