How would you go about building this Halloween lawn monster?

Was looking around and found this big wraith-like motherfucker that someone had made and I want to try building one.

But I need some advice on exactly how to do it. I'll probably pick up some black cloth at a local store and then look around for a lantern, but how would you build the frame to hang the cloth on? Without spending too much. Maybe start with a tall shepard's hook and add 10-Gauge pliable armature wire for the shoulders and arms?

That'd be really cheap, quick, and simple...wood, coat hangers, and fasteners.
The lanterns are cheap and easy to find as well ($10 new at camping stores etc).

Oh also, if you don't want a fire hazard but still want some light it'd be easy to run power to the lantern and drop a bulb in it. Cheap and easy to find bulb sockets like this, any size you need to fit in your lantern:

Had the same dilemma, needed something to shape the form,(bendable), but strong enough to support,(the weight, and to stay put). Bought a coil of 4 gauge aluminum wire at Lowes. Burlap 8x8 wrapping squires can be found at a gardening, or tractor supply store. It could be dyed with clothes dye, and a spray bottle. To add more form, pool noodles, or foam from the craft store.

Walmart has lanterns for $6. They're shit if you actually want to use it, but it would make a decent decoration. Look in the candle section.

Just put the cover on yourself and jump at the little critters when they approach the door :awe:

Hire the homeless. You do a good deed, they can earn some money and it's cheaper/easier than building something.

Then you don't even need to get a costume/outfit. Reaper got nothing compared to a cracked out homeless guy chasing you at night.

Pay an unemployed, desperate person $50 to stand in that position.
