How would you feel at this local barbershop?

I go to a local barbershop that isn't busy much or I learned to go during the right times after going there for months. I go there and the barber is just lounging around with no customer but his friend is there. You go in to get a haircut and just sit in the waiting area. Their conversation keeps going and going totally disregarding that you're even there even though the barber saw you. You keep waiting for their convo to end but it lasts at least 10 minutes. I waited 15 minutes one time but who knows how long it might go. How would you feel? Shouldn't the barber be trying to cut your hair when you walk in and continue talking at the same time?

Walk to the local convenient store, buy a tallboy, bring it back and enjoy while you wait. Maybe he'll speak up? If he does - great. If he doesn't - great.

Barber didn't want to cut your hair and waited for you to walk out.

I never saw a barber that couldn't talk and cut hair at the same time. My barber is your typical small town barber, while my hair is being cut there's usually a five way conversation between him, I, and all those waiting to get their haircuts discussing all the local issues or national politics. It's very entertaining.

OP: "I wanna look like a lesbian Donald Trump look alike that just escaped a yuge mental institution."

Barber: "Say no more. I got this fam."

ok completely lost now.

by engage i meant talk to them.

is that what you though i meant?
Sucks explaining jokes, but he was making a moderate funny. He implied you're ready to get married first shot; "engaged". Not the best joke in the world, but it didn't cost you much ;^)
