I'd have to examine it closer. Some toilet rolls are too big for the holders, and they jam up when new. Putting it on top works better for a little while. Otherwise, "lazy asshole".

i do, so i can play solitaire. :D

i also leave the roll on top, it annoys my kids. i do it because for years i had it on a wrought iron roll holder and got used to it not being on a fixed holder. just seems more natural to me to be able to unroll without it being attached to the wall. i do replace onto the roll thing at work tho.

I hate the rollers at work. They have that 1-ply tissue paper like stuff that doesn't play well with the dispensers that take about 45 ft/lbs of force to actually rotate the roll.

You start to pull on the roll and two sheets tear off. Bah!

haha i hate those too! thats one good thing about working for a smaller company. we have angel soft 2-ply under the sink, a regular tp holder and a locking door.
