how would you allocate your study time?

This exam schedule really bothers me off because if there is an exam before the others.. I can't focus or study for the others. I;'ve been in this situation before last semester and the outcome wasn't good 🙁

Let's say you had Friday, Saturday and Sunday to prepare for the exams.. how would you allocate your time?
After exam 1, there's time on Monday night too

I feel like I've been making too many school related threads in the past couple days.. hopefully no one noticed 😱
There's a good reason for it though

Wait, how can you have 3 exams in one day?

At most schools I know thats considered a "conflict."

EDIT: wait, are you in highschool?

Tough situation. It's ridiculous that you have 3 exams on one day, we arent allowed to have more than 2.

I would say that you will be sufficiently able to study for two out of 3 Tuesday finals after your test on monday (unless they're like Biology or Organic Chemistry). I would say study for your Monday (obv) and your hardest of the three over the weekend and get those two down pat, as well as a little bit of review for the other two, and then really fire away at those other two after your test on Monday.

If the tests are really hard though, you might have to study for 2 out of 3 over the weekend and leave only one for Monday.

EDIT: Wait, ARE you in High School? If so, don't do dick over the weekend, study Monday morning for exam 1, and study monday afternoon for other 3, then go drink monday night.

Hahahahahahaha.

3 exams in one day is nothing.

I used to take 5 classes on MW. It worked out during midterms and some exams I'd be taking 3 exams a day, plus a paper or two due.

If you fvck yourself over with a bad schedule like I did, it happens.

No, university

there's one at 10:30 AM
one at 2:00 PM
and the last one at 3:30 PM

all of which are really important... it's gonna be a tough day
I had something similar last semester and didn't manage my time well so I tried pulling all nighters for 2 days.. it backfired and got lower final grades than what I could've gotten

Well if you're really fvcked over like that, just talk to your professors and ask if you can take one of your exams a day early, so you can space your studying more evenly. If you're in college most professors are pretty laid back and wont really care so long as you make up a decent excuse.

Still, if that doesnt work out just take like 2-3 hours each day to go over your notes from each class, and you should be fine.

Why is that? I've pulled off many for both study and work. Worked out well everytime....

It usually works out, but it sucks....a lot....unnecessarily.

Very rarely a need for an all-nighter unless you're a horrible procrastinator or you're in computer science.

Oh boy do I know the feeling. There's nothing like coding for 3 days straight right before a project is due at 12:00AM with breaks long enough to take a piss and get something to drink.

That's your experience talking. I am a procrastinator, but in the times I needed to pull off an all nighter it wasn't due to procrastination, it was knowledge I had to have, or work that had to be done. They really don't suck that bad, after about 12pm the next day you start to drag, but once your mind realizes it isn't going to get the sleep it needs (1-2 pm) it's ready to go again. You have to be conditioned for it, I guess. After the third day of no sleep... now that's when the trouble hits.

If you keep up and pay attention during the quarter, you shouldn't need to study much. 30 minutes per test max.

Blanket statements are bad.

There are several professors I've taken who will purposely throw a wrench into things because their grading system is based on a curve. So they'll make the tests especially hard. Hard enough where the highest grades (including those braniancs and child prodigies) are around a 50-60 out of 100.

This is especially common in upper level and weed-out courses.

Prioritize tests in the amount you need to study the most to the amount the least, when you have it down- move on to the next. It may be a hell of a lot of studying but what would be better than getting a good grade on the exam?

I hear you. I've got an exam and paper due this week, as well as a code project (i haven't even taken a look at what that requires, but it should be easy). And i work 12 hrs days (only 3 days a week though). I think i bit more than i can chew this summer... i'm soo screwed. I have entire seasons of 24, Lost, and Alias to watch, as well as Burnout Revenge and Perfect Dark, which are both still sealed. I've had these for over 3 weeks now, but just can't fit in the time to play them at all.

As for all nighters... i may seriously need to do that tonight. But i'm 30 now, and i know i can't handle it as well as i could when i was younger.
