Well, if you plan to use SE drives along with U160/U2W drives then you should not get the 19160. It does not have an internal 68pin SE connector. If you ever plan to use it in an actual server board with 64bit pci slots then note that it is only a 32bit compatible. Also if you plan to use LVD hdd drives in an external case then note that this card only has a 50pin ultra external connector.
<< Adaptec 19160, 32-bit PCI, 160MBytes/sec data transfer rate, 133MB/sec system bus. One 68-pin for LVD SCSI and one 50-pin for Ultra SCSI internally. Externally one 50-pin for Ultra SCSI. Up to 15 devices can be connected. An ideal choice for Professional Desktops. Support for Win2K, Win95 & 98, WinNT 4.0. >>
Just for comparison here is the 29160:
<< Adaptec 29160, 64-bit PCI, 32-bit compatible, 160MBytes/sec data transfer, 266MB/sec system bus. This one also has an additional 68-pin for Ultra Wide SCSI internally and its external connect is now one 68-pin for LVD SCSI devices as opposed to 50-pin as fitted to the two above, and has a different cable kit. Up to 15 devices can be connected. Aimed at the mainstream Mid-range Servers. >>
