how would one re-roll an ikea mattress?

I have been trying unsuccessfully for the past 30 minutes . Need to make it smaller so I can fit more stuff in my car. When it first came, it was a tight roll, just over a foot in diameter. now it takes up my entire trunk....

has anyone ever successfully re-rolled an ikea mattress?
