How would I set up this dual boot: two OSs installed separately on two separate drives- XPpro(FAT32), win2k(NFTS)

I have two hard drives, each one set up with an OS while the other was unconnected, so there is no boot loader or anything. How would I set up a dual boot? One drive has win2k pro (NFTS) and the other has XPpro(FAT32). Thanks

There is an AT FAQ that basically covers this...

<< To fix the problem, start the computer in Windows 2000 and copy 2 files from the Windows XP CD-ROM to the root of the system drive. Copy NTLDR and Ntdetect.com from the I386 folder, and replace the ones in the C: root directory. >>

Thank you AndyHui

personnaly, i'd just pick the boot device in the bios for every time i wanted to switch. Nobody messses with anybody elses MBR.

Copying ntdetect and NTLDR didn't work- all I get in win2k. I guess since each OS was installed independantly of each other (i.e. the other hard drive was not hoooked up when the second OS went on), it doesn't have a record of another OS being there. I guess I need a boot manager or something? Are there free ones? how would I set it up? And what would be the best set up for the hard drives- I have four controllers (2 ATA-100, 2 RAID) so I could have 2 primary masters, which might confuse things a bit. Note- I tried different configs, and they all led to win2k.

Buddha Bart- how would I select it in the bios?

I have to get around to writing a dual boot FAQ one of these days.

SUOrangeman was supposed to come up with one a long time ago, but he's busy.
