How would I rip offline, then use CDDB later?

I am in the process of ripping all my CD's to mp3's. I want to rip the CD's
on a fast computer at home but it is not connected online. Therefore I have
to type in titles for every track. If I rip them at work on a computer that is online,
then of course I have CDex supply the titles from CDDB, but that computer is
dog slow.

Is there anyway to get the titles and rename the files later when I have online
access? In the alternative is there a way to download the CDDB (I know it would
be big!) and use it as the local CDDB?

Where are the best forums or sites to research this?

Appreciate any advice!

I've used Music Library by WenSoftware.

WenSoftware

It might do what you want.....not sure.

Also, MaximumPC had one they loved....a few months ago, especially because it did reverse lookups. I'll be darned if I can remember it, and I need to get it. Maybe I can find my hard copy of the MaximumPC page....I know I kept it.

I'd be interested in knowing if you find something that works for you.

From a post of mine a few months ago:

I'm using MusicLibrary by Wen Software. I've scanned ~100 in so far, using cddb, and like it very much. Has a nifty batch feature that lets you scan a horde of cd's in, reading the TOC, then, grabs all the info in one swoop from cddb. They've also had a lot of updates. And, the reg. fee is only $20.

Also, it opens nicely in Access, and is supposed to work with SQL and Excel. I've just gotta figure out how to grab the cd-text info off the cd's I've burned.

Oh, it also has a player in it that I haven't tried, and works with Winamp and some others.
