How worried should I be?

My gf just got back from the store and there are some unusual ingredients (at least to me, as a simple midwestern college grad).

I was unpacking the items and I found this... Cashew Juice
http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/Y...owsDAjello/Cashew1.jpg
http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/Y...owsDAjello/Cashew2.jpg

I asked about it and she said that Andrew Zimmern said it was weird but good (or at least not repulsed by it).
Although we both cannot stand durian, which he described as "completely rotten, mushy onions", he has liked a lot of things that I would imagine are horrible tasting.

Anyone have any input on cashew juice?

Also in the list of items were some rather large strawberries (at least compared to most I have seen)

Ok, you vote now.

Nut juice and giant berry. Sounds like something you would find in a B movie.

Yeah! WTF is up with the strawberries this year? :Q

I took one look at them and went, "zOMG! Mutant strawberries from another planet! WTF?"

The 1lb basket that we picked up had like 6 strawberries in it.

They were surprisingly good though.. for A) genetically modified food or B) martian strawberries.

As for the cashew juice, that just sounds disgusting. Is it like, raw cashew juice? Because raw cashews are nasty.

lol

Edit: Oh! I get it now.

It's not cashew nut juice. It's cashew fruit juice.

Most people don't realize that there's an apple-like part to the whole cashew fruit. The nut that we eat is a strange appendage at the bottom.

And yes, I knew this before reading the wiki. I just wanted to post a pic. :p I have no idea what it tastes like, though.

The fruit spoils extremely fast and is very fragile, that's why you can't get it anywhere but locally to where cashew trees grow.

I can't imagine cashew "juice" being anything other than disgusting...and that is a huge ass berry.

Life's ok, not much to tell I guess. I've gotten my degree and am starting the job search process, not that this is a great time for anybody to be looking for a job ;)

Still working at the same place (Wisconsin Center for Education Research).

Not doing the Night Crew thing anymore ;)

What have you been up to?

I hope that these strawberries are as good as your experience :D

The cashew fruit itself, eh? I guess I didn't even bother to read the packaging :p

Interesting shirt she's wearing.

You like it?
Do you have any "I'm ok with Sean" shirts? :p

I didn't know there was going to be a demand for them. Only 4 people have worn the original one.

I suppose I could make a "like" edition to it and add it to the ATOT T-Shirt Store since I have the picture for it https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/sp...web/Random/NERRRRD.JPG :p

yeah, job hunting is a bitch right now...i've completely turned my life upside down since the last time we talked, moved to austin, new job, new everything

i'm not up late at night much anymore either, gotta get some sleep so i'm not retarded waking up at 6-7AMish on a daily basis

all i do is work these days, 60+ hours a week at the office, i spend a little time playing with the bikes, but mostly i'm just exhausted all the time

only reason i'm awake now is because i've been in dallas for a week, and in the process of recovering from almost no sleep the entire time i was there, i've totally screwed up my sleep patterns today sleeping for about 18 hours off and on

I work about that much every 2 weeks now ;)

I'm awake since there's some snoring going on (not snorgling) and I'm just not that tired yet. I've been waking up quite late since I can and will eventually not be able to once I have a "real" job.

I hope things are going well in Austin apart from the whole sleep thing.

having a real job again sucks sometimes

having money and a cool place to live is nice though, so i just have to strike a balance

its not good

personally i like it because my reminiscence of childhood where i grew up with real cashew trees and cashew fruits.. the fruit itself is usually discarded but the juice reminds me of the smell
