Here in Germany it is the other way around. Insurance for women is cheaper because they cause less accidents and their accidents are hellofalot less severe - because they drive alot less aggressive.

Women get cheaper insurance here, due to being involved in fewer and less serious accidents. Commit fewer car related crimes or something like that as well IIRC.

israel is weird. here in america, the women drive slowly and obliviously. i hate watching my mom drive, her reaction time is slooowww, and usually the other person needs to correct if they don't want to hit her >.<

At least in my experience, women are involved in less accidents, but probably cause just as many. Men drive and tend to be very aggressive. When they get into accidents it is usually because they overestimate something (response time of the vehicle or whatever). Women tend to cause accidents by being completely clueless. Unfortunately, this means that other drivers have to react to them, thereby causing accidents not involving the original driver.

In the US, women cause more accidents, but since guys accidents occur at higher speed they get raped on insurance.

...that, and 90% of the time if there's a guy and a girl in a car, the guy is driving.

From my experience, guys are more aggressive, but girls are more oblivious. I almost was run into a guard rail because some woman in an SUV didn't acknowledge that the lanes were merging, even though I was half a car length ahead of her (I couldn't go further forward because of a truck). When I honked, she looked at me like I was an asshole, but still didn't give way, I had to slam on the brakes on a freeway onramp about 100 feet from where the ramp merges to the freeway.

Every time I've been in that type of situation with a guy, they've backed off. Yet more than once with a woman they don't.

But if you see a car doing 100MPH down the freeway, I'll put money on a guy driving it. (guilty)

My ex was a psycho behind the wheel and always got pissed off about everything. I stopped riding with her, or drove when we went somewhere because it was rediculous. She was cursing people out for changing lanes and stuff.

Although that's far from the norm. Women are involved in plenty of accidents that are their own fault. However most of the time they occur at much lower speeds and thusly do not do as much damage. Like i've been backed into by 3 3!!!! different women in my 3 years of driving. I even lay the horn down and they still don't look back to see wtf is making all that noise. None of them have caused anymore damage than a scrape or slight dent, but STILL.

Car insurance is often cheaper for women. Women do make fewer accident claims on their insurance than men, and hence cost insurance companies less.

The reason for fewer claims is because women drive less than men (fewer miles, shorter commutes, etc.) and also tend to drive their husband's car (on his insurance) more than vice versa. When calculated as accidents per mile, women have considerably more accidents and claims than men, although this is partially offset be women's accidents tending to be low aggression, and therefore relatively low cost (e.g. scraped a car while parking, drove into a lamp post, etc.)
