My top two choices are self replicating robots gone amok, or some Islamic terrorist nutjobs like ISIS getting a hold of some H bombs.

I read this as "How will we wipe ourselves in the next 25 years"...

Guess toilet paper is going out of fashion.

LMAO! At least I'm not the only one. I read it that way too!

billions of people dead in under a year.

Skynet?
super virus?
thermo-nuclear war?
destroying the ozone layer thus oxygen escapes into space?
no more water?
Nothing so spectacular as skynet or a super virus. Rather it will be mundane problems, high food cost, water becoming scarce and expensive, pollution and crime. All of these factors will be common place in the future.

Males will wear tighter and skinnier jeans as the years go on and within 25 years they will be sterile due to the package constriction.

You may think "package constriction" (aka sterility) will be the cause of us wiping ourselves out but you would be wrong. That's an easy to solve problem: wear looser-fitting jeans. True but males will grown so attached to their pants that they will not give them up; this will start a civil war in the United States which will then spread to Europe. During several years of horrible fighting and disease-ridden conditions, ebolaids will first be identified (some say in San Francisco, others say it began in Ypsilanti, MI) and soon 100% of the population will be infected. It has 100% mortality rate and there's no hope after about 2042.

I think there's a better chance of Cthulhu awakening than of skinny jeans being popular for 25 more years.

It's so obvious really, the need for always faster VGA's and CPU's will make scientists build a prototype tachyon processor that on the first try will go faster than light resulting in a time space rift that will destroy all of existence.

It's the weird shit on this forum that keeps me coming back.

I wanted to discuss this and created a new thread because to some find it important.

I find it totally a waste of time to have petty wars over land and money because of pride of history and such and would like there to be a better way to preserve history of earth.

So I placed the new thread in the discussion thread for those interested.
