Hey guys, i was just wondering about this setup:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8400 @2.66ghz

Memory: 4gb Dual Channel DDR2 800Mhz Memory

Motherboard: G31 MSI MS-7528

Power supply: Antec Neo Eco 520C 520W Power Supply

Direct x 11

500gb Sata 3gb/s Hard Disk Drive NCQ

Graphics card: Gainward GTX 560 ti 1GB Golden Sample

1600x900 resolution

Will this setup run newer games with high-max settings? Such as DA2, Crysis 2, Black ops and Total War Shogun?

What about upcoming games such as the Witcher 2 and Skyrim?

And will it max games like Dragon age origins, Cod 4, Left 4 dead, Mass Effect 2 etc.?

I'm trying to only upgrade what is essential, and this is the build i've come up with.

Your rig is slightly better than mine, and I have no problems playing on high settings for almost all games like DA2, ME2, Crysis (only at 30ish fps). DA:O, etc should be easily maxed.

And I'm playihg at 1920x1200 too, so you should have completely no problems.

Thanks for your reply, really helpful.

No i can finally go out and order the parts.

Also, do you think that PSU will be enough? It's got like a 12v+ of 40a, so it's a very high quality 520W.

If this is a new rig, I would ABSOLUTELY NOT buy it. I assume you are only talking about a graphics card upgrade? In that case your existing PSU will be okay. If this is somehow a new rig, please post your needs and we can help you find something appropriate for today.

Your "go out and order the parts" statement has me a bit worried. That system would be perfectly fine if you're buying it second hand and upgrading the GPU or something like that. It's NOT a good choice if you have the freedom to purchase all new parts.
