?

Thank you!!!!

Edited for "s" haha

Oopsies, i was wrong...its an 8600GTS, not GT....is that better or worse for crysis?? haha....sorry i'm a noob.

This is my HTPC but crysis looks so cool.

im going to be using an E4300 @ 3.2 ghz, 2 gb of ram, and a 7600 GT.

I'm hoping that 1024x768 on medium will do fine. I've not run into much this rig cant handle, although I'm a bit worried that crysis will laugh at my video card and smoke my system.

Slag

Goodluck having the game run at all.

I used a 7800GT and it couldn't keep the frames above 25 consistently with any resolution and on medium. It played alright some times, but once you get into a firefight, kiss your ass goodbye. Don't even think about MP. The game scales HORRIBLY.

Didn't run too well like unplayable? So bad it wasn't fun? Or just hiccups here and there?

I mean, is it even worth it to play this game on this set up?

I'm going to guarantee you will cry. So I do not recommend even trying. Unless you're upgrading......

Yes, I would say that it was pretty much unplayable. I did play it fine for a bit on 1024x768(I think) but that was no fun at all.

Bummer. I guess no crysis for me then. 🙁

download the demo and see how it runs.

crysis *is* scalable, but its scaling is highly inconsistent. i was running 1280x1024 medium with E4300 @ 2.44ghz, X850XT, and 2gigs of ram while other people with systems superior in every way were running lower than me.

I played Crysis on medium settings on my 8600gts no problem. I was running 1440x900 up until the ice part. Then I lowered the resolution to 1280x800 and it ran fine. Make sure you turn off Aniso Filter and Anti Aliasing off as it degrades performance. Just run Trilinear and you should have no problems on medium settings at 720p.

Make sure you run it at dx9 path if you are running vista to get a bit more performance.

I think that tweaktown benchmark is off. As I've got 25fps medium settings 1440x900 16xAF on the benchmark with vista.

I just tried playing it again @ 720p and it gives me constant 20-40fps range.

Thanks for checking that. I guess maybe it is worth it! 🙂 I'm running XP right now so maybe that will help with the performance a bit too.
