I just bought an Alpha Pal 8045 + Panaflo 80mm 34 CFM Fan

I was going for a quiet setup, and this is one of the best I could think of... Anyone give me an idea of how this performs?

Thanks

OK, thanks for replies... Can't wait to get rid of this loud Dragon Orb (Supposebly 37 DB's! What a joke)

It's not even too good performance wise, but how much do you think I could overclock using the 8045? Got 1.4 on Dragon Orb, about 60-70 % Stable

I understand you, had a DragonOrb3 myself, but after my 1,4 T-Bird died (either a cracked core due to the DragonOrb (the core was already chipped but it worked so I don't know if that's the reason) or because a bad ECS K7S5A fried it) I got a Molex Radial Fin for my 1600+. But when I found a shop that had the PAL8045 in stock I bought it, haven't regretted it, it's one fine heatsink.
You will be able to oc, you don't need 50+cfm fans to get good results as FlowerMan said, I use a 46,5cfm Papst fan myself and I'm able to hit 1649mhz @ 41C.
Even though it has higher cfm than your fan you should be able to do a minor oc.

46.5~50CFM ;)

250mHz OC is pretty good, but it also depends a lot on the manufacture batch (AMD CPU) that you get. The XP's also run cooler than the older tbirds.

Is that 41*C idle or load? I hope that's not your idle temp :)
