How will the Logitech Z560's work with the Soundblaster Live 5.1 PCI?

I don't know that much about the above products, and I am thinking about buying them...
Are they a good combo? Do the z560's have digital inputs? Can I output 4.1 on the soundblaster?

Well, I would try and go for a better sound card, like the turtle beach santa cruz or the Sound Blaster Audigy, but the speakers are awesome. I use the speakers with a SB live and it sounds good, though everyone I talk to seems to reccomend getting a different sound card.

Yes, it will output 4.1 On the back of the SB live 5.1 card there are ports for your front and rear speakers. the only difference (I believe) between the SB live and the SB live 5.1 are that the regular live has a digital output while the 5.1 has another speaker output (or sub) in it's place. no, the z-560's are not digital.

From what I hear, there really is not comparison as the Z-560's are 400 watts and pretty much blow out any other PC speakers except for the Klipsch setups (alot of reviews say they are both the same, I have even read 2 that said the Z-560's sounded better) and for $150, you can't beat the logitechs.

Hope that helps

hi, i should have asked this question a long time ago, becuase i own the Creative Cambridge FPS2000 for a long time..

when i connect it to my soundcard Sblive value using analog, AV lines, the speaker works fine. but when i use the digial "spdif" typo, it will hizz when it is turned up(about half way up)

is it normal with every speaker? or what

thanks

I am not sure if that is normal, the hissing I mean, but I do know for a fact that the SB live does have issues with hissing when the volume is up at all. This annoying background noise is like a trademark of the live, grrr.... I don't own a audigy or a Acutical Edge, but I hear that these don't have the hiss at all or are very quiet. As for it being a specific problem with just your spdif out... I have no idea why it would only affect that.
