How will the Human Race End?

It seems with all the doom and gloom in the news these days it is evident that the entire human race will end sometime very soon, possibly before Hillary has a chance to get that 4 AM phone call.

So I ask the Nostradamus's among us, how will the human race meets it's untimely demise and when will that fateful time come? Do you think we can survive the death of the sun and the earth? Do you think we will even make it that far?

Irrelevant to the current discussion. If we're around and able to fight with sticks and stones, the human race will likely survive, even if the current civilization does not.

Within 750 years, we'll have the ability to transfer our minds to artificial "containers" of some sort, maybe android bodies. At that point, "homo sapien" would no longer need to exist, except perhaps as some reminder of the past. It would still be Earthly primate-originated intelligence present within those bodies, the legacy of this planet's contribution to the Universe's understanding of itself.

I don't know if that quite fits into the poll.


Either way, surely not until the end of the solar system, or of "time."

Someone needs a history refresher. Doom and gloom? Let's see, when was the last time an army rolled into a town of 50,000 people, killed all of the men, raped all the women and children, murdered them, took all of the livestock, burned everything. This was a fairly typical event during the Roman Empire. Don't even get me started on Cromwell and other Generals during the sack of Irland.

Back then, the planet had low population so one of these events could be proportionally similar to the entire population of Texas being wiped out.

I have hope for the future. We had better start taking better care of this planet because we are going to be here for a very long time.
