oh well then. yeah if he is a suspect and the the other guys involvment. but man the other guy is fucked.

Taylor is accused of secretly videotaping four children, ranging in age between nine and 16, on at least seven occasions total. In each case, the child who was allegedly videotaped was naked, according to a document filed in federal court on May 4. Investigators also allegedly found more than 400 videos of child pornography on computers and storage media recovered from Taylor's home office in his Indianapolis residence.

videotaping kids and having 400 videos. oh boy

Because they tried to make a whole thing about eating sandwiches is the way to lose weight. No other sandwich place was so dishonest to me.

Blimpy's is great! They add extra oil to their sandwiches for extra deliciousness. Subway never does that shit.

I used to have 2x Quizzno's restaurants in my town and they were great! Now, there are none anywhere near me. :(

Right, and if Jared only knowingly stored those videos (let's assume he wasn't involved in taking them) he'd still be in a TON of shit.

The foundation these guys were running? One for obese children.

He wasn't just into sandwiches.

http://www.indystar.com/story/news/...--home--subway-pitchman-jared-fogle/29807473/

Subway spokesman Jared Fogle's home in suburban Indianapolis was being searched on Tuesday morning.

Aerial footage from NBC affiliate WTHR showed the Zionsville house surrounded by police cars and cops. Agents took electronics, including a computer, from the home and carried them to an evidence truck in the driveway. At one point, Fogle stepped from his home and entered the truck.

The raid followed the April arrest of the executive director of Fogle's nonprofit organization, the Jared Foundation, on charges related to child pornography. At the time, Fogle said in a statement that he was shocked at the charges and that his foundation was severing all ties to the director, Russell Taylor.

The nonprofit aims to help children combat obesity.

Interesting, everything I had read yesterday didn't mention the word suspect. I guess that's been clarified and as most of us probably thought, he's involved.

Who was saying Jared wasn't involved again? :hmm:

The opposite argument from "my company is too small to have an office or data center" in this case is going to be "if you're storing child porn, you do it on computers you have physical access to."

Being a suspect doesn't mean shit either. If being a suspect was sufficient, we could save a ton of money of trials. That's what DPRK does...

I never said it makes him guilty, but it sure as fuck means something.

It's step 1 in a process that ends in possible conviction. Reasonable suspicion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_burden_of_proof

But it doesn't stop there, he's sailed up to step 4, some credible evidence, because a search warrant was issued. This is the first step requiring evidence, not the computers, evidence to get the warrant for the computers. They already have *something* on him.

So, yeah... doesn't mean shit.

Yea, doesn't mean shit. Maybe it's a prosecutor trying to make a name for himself. Or maybe it's some hotshot cop trying to break his first big case. Or maybe it's just a set of bad circumstances that look worse on the surface than careful and intelligent analysis bear out.

Due process, and trial by peers. Anything less, you're living in banana republic land.

WTF are you talking about, some hotshot cop. This isn't a buddy cop film, hotshot cops do not just bust in an start confiscating shit. It takes a judge. An investigation like this typically involves the DA.

Of course he should get due process and a trial if it gets that far. No one has suggested otherwise, so I'm not sure where you're getting these DPRK/banana republic shit from.

Cops are the ones that come up with "probable cause", which is sometimes a complete fabrication. The legal system is full of corruption. If you don't see that, perhaps it's fairyland where you live, and not DPRK.

Well, some cops might be out of control loners who dont play by the rules. They want to solve that last case before collecting their pension, so they do whatever it takes to bring down the child porn ring leader. And Jared possibly killed their partner years earlier in child porn ring bust that went bad.

You know if he ends up getting arrested and convicted, he won't have any problems finding a foot long in prison.

I have eaten Subway at least once a week for the past 10 years. Well, did. I'm done with them. Abandoning someone during a horrible circumstance in their life over slanderous allegations shows that Subway has no backbone at all. At least places like Hobby Lobby and Chick-fil-a have my respect for standing by their beliefs.

I doubt Jared's contract went tits up because of an investigation where charges weren't even filed against him let alone convicted.

Maybe they are breaking ties with him because he looks like he could breast feed those kids.

He was the spokesperson because he lost weight eating their food remember? Do you really think they didn't take one look at those pics in the media and think "What the...When did our spokesman grow a pair of boobs?"

Usually when obese people lose a lot of weight, their skin doesn't just shrink back like magic. He still has all the extra skin hanging there. And besides, he's still a lot thinner than he used to be, not bad considering how long it's been.

No, I see corruption plenty, I just don't assume it's the case without evidence (the same thing you expect of The Man to accuse Jarred) and lash out at anyone who doesn't agree with me with shitty arguments.

That's completely possible, and I never said it wasn't. I just didn't assume that was the case. It's perfectly fine to be skeptical, but have some evidence before you lay the claim.

It's the same thing we expect out of the cops who do investigations, the judge who issues warrants, and DA who brings charges.

It's terribly hypocritical to assume they don't have some credible evidence against him when there's no credible evidence of a witch hunt.

I was part of a jury once. The defendant took the 5th and didn't take the stand. During a lunch break, one of the other jurors stated "If you're not guilty, why are you taking the 5th". That mentality sickens me.

Sounds to me he needs to watch "The Drumhead".

There was a guy at a place I used to work that got busted for KP. They arrested him at work and took his work computer.

If Jared did have KP and didn't use the 2 months to scrub his computers clean then he is a moron.
