I have been looking for a new monitor for along time and decided a 2405fpw should be good if i can handel it. I am just wondering what kind of frames i can expect with my rig in my sig at the following games ( at native res and bf2 at meduim settings ) none of these games with AA or AF on.

counter-strike 1.6 <-- play this one the most
counter-strike source <-- when i am bored
battfield 2 <--- 2nd most but not alot
farcry<---- when i feel like it
doom 3 < -- dont have it but will probably get it

the most important game is 1.6 to me dont laugh.

You should get pretty good frames with your current setup. I recently ran a 7800 gt on that exact monitor and it ran at the native resolution, like 19xx by something at 4 AA and 8AF and it ran smooth. By the way, do you have your cpu overclocked? If not you should consider doing so as it will help. OH yea oc your v card also.

Notice the first graph has the x800 xl running at medium settings and 1920x1440 (pretty close to your resolution) at 38 FPS. This is on a FX-55, so to trully make the results applicable you will need to overclock your Venice to 2.6 Ghz or so. Don't know how your MB and cooling will handle that. Also, you may want to check that BF2 supports your particular widescreen resolution. Hope this helps.

MY friend bought a 2405, and quickly upgraded his videocard from a 9800AIW to x800xl, and he says it runs most games fine, but had to disable some lighting effects. I think you'll be more than fine with 1.6.

enjoy, they're sweet monitors.

If a x800xl can handle BF2 ant 19x14, it should own your CS 1.6.
