How will Lineage 2 compare to FFXI?

Will there be more people per server allowed? Will the graphics be better? I am just wondering cause I have been hearing a bit about this game on my FFXI linkshell. Comes out in April, I think I might have to get this one... how many players do you think there will be compared with ffxi's 500k people?

i'm in the closed beta right now....

I played the korean beta and it was a hit..they have something like 25 servers with approximately 10000 to 15000 people per server ...

it's a hit in taiwan and japan as well.

BTW, this isn't a closed beat at all. If you preorder the game at best buy, the preorder kit comes with a beta cd.

Any of you guys play Lineage way way back when everyone logged into a single server? The game had built-in Korean (you pressed a button to toggle between Korean and English). So, everyone logged into the server and talked in either English or Korean. It eventually became a sort of Language-war with English speakers killing Korean speakers on site and vice versa. It was hilarious. You would log into the game and be surrounded by Korean speakers. You would type some crap and hope it made sense or they tried to kill you.

It is closed beta. Yes, preorders did got allowed to enter closed beta. Open beta doesn't start until the end of thsi month. I have the preorder box. It just contains screenshots, some CG stuff, previews for other games, etc... U still have to download the client and use the cd key given to u.

The game will not go gold until summer i think....
