I would hope so. It would be tough to make a case for any other cartoon anymore. Any show that can remain successful for as long as The Simpsons has ranks right up there with the greatest shows ever imo. I hope that's how history will judge it.

It just got renewed until 2005 and I dont see it stopping there either. I think they want to break the twenty year mark for sure. I really dont ever want to see the simpsons leave the air.

I've noticed that some episodes (very few) are differently drawn. You can tell right away that something is not right with Homer and Bart in the way their features are drawn. Anyone know what I am talking about?

yep, i can identify the early episodes with just a glance...even the voices are sorta different.

yep, i can identify the early episodes with just a glance...even the voices are sorta different.

Why are these episodes different?

They were from the first season, maybe some afterward. Bart was still doing his catchphrases, and a lot of the characters sounded the same. They're mouths seem to move a whole lot.
